Introduction
I began painting in 2022, but my admiration for art started in childhood. Over the years, I traveled through museums, studying paintings up close and developing a deep appreciation for the brushwork, color, and emotion of the masters — Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Degas, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Modigliani, and Rivera.
Rather than learning through formal instruction, I picked up a brush and acrylic paint and began working from memory, trying to mimic the movement, texture, and energy I had observed in their work. What started as curiosity quickly became an obsession. I was drawn to the physical act of painting — the stroke, the pressure, the layering — and the way emotion could emerge through the process.
Faces became my primary focus. Expressions fascinated me because of their difficulty and depth — the challenge of capturing what is felt rather than simply what is seen. I began developing my own style guided by intuition, repetition, and a desire to understand the human presence on canvas.
